Synopsis: OpenStack has been called the largest DevOps open source project in the world and as such there are a lot of lessons we can learn from the project. During this talk, I'll discuss some of the practices OpenStack follows to make the lives of Devs and Ops better as well as discussing where OpenStack can fit into your ToolChains.
I've been involved with OpenStack at Rackspace for 1.5 years; first as an initial member of the private cloud support team, an openstack architect and more recently I've been leading a team focused on the consumption layers of OpenStack. I've been with Rackspace for 6.5 years and before my life of OpenStack I was a Linux Systems Engineer in the dedicated hosting segments.
