The cloud computing has proved it can deliver lower IT costs, reduced infrastructure complexity, and enhanced flexibility.  Hong Kong is an ideal place in the Asia-Pacific region for cloud computing development and adoption, with its robust telecommunications infrastructure, pro-business environment, effective protection of data privacy and information security, knowledgeable professionals and government support.
 
Cyberport has been piloting with early releases of OpenStack cloud software at the Technology Centre to assist startup entrepreneurs with improved collaboration, lower IT maintenance costs and ultimately, higher productivity. The speaker will talk about a number of key considerations to build up cloud platform and share best practice and challenges through different use-cases.
